This firm of experienced accountants is looking for a detail-orientated and highly organised professional, with good time management and strong IT skills who can oversee the WIP for a significant client portfolio for both audit and accounts.

This opportunity will suit someone who is confident in a client facing role, so excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - will be essential. You’ll be able to build trusted and long-lasting relationships with clients, whilst always striving to deliver excellence.

You’ll also be a great motivator of people and possess the ability to nurture and inspire junior team members.

Job Purpose
  • Planning and completion of audits for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts.
  • Completion of financial statements.
  • Cashflow and budget preparation.
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development.
  • Confidently present work to managers, completing files to a high standard.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
  • Delegate work to, and mentor new trainees, supporting with their learning and development
  • Set an example for the team as a helpful member of the team

The Successful Applicant
  • ACA or ACCA?qualified, studying or a finalist with demonstrable accountancy practice experience (qualified by experience would be considered)
  • Knowledge of audit and general accounting
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Good awareness of current affairs
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver
