What we’re looking for

We’re delighted to be searching for a part-qualified accountant with experience in audit and assurance to work withthis thriving accountancy firm in South London, in exchange for a market-beating salary and package of additional benefits.

Due to the excellent reputation of this firm, they are experiencing significant growth in demand for their audit services and as such are looking for motivated team players to boost their team and serve a loyal portfolio of varied clients. Typically, with turnovers greater than c. £10 million.

We’d be delighted to receive applications from candidates with at least one year of experience in practice and a proven track record working in audit and a desire to specialise within it.

Perhaps you’re an experienced Audit Junior seeking career progression, or you may already be in a Semi Senior role but are ready for a new challenge with a forward-thinking and supportive multi-office firm.

You will have an excellent work ethic and enjoy being part of a team that strives for success in every way. Your focus and attention to detail will be first class and you will be confident leading junior members of the team with minimal supervision and supporting their personal development.

Job Purpose

  • The role will focus principally on supporting the Audit Managers and Seniors in planning, leading and delivering statutory and specialist audit services.
  • Drafting corporate tax computations.
  • Drafting written and verbal communications to clients and third parties.
  • Design and lead audits from planning through to completion, liaising with the team and client where necessary.
  • Support pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients.
  • Audit research and data collection.
  • Work with a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants/auditors to ensure audits are conducted to standards and on time.
  • Using accounting software, prepare audit files in readiness for review.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
  • Contributing innovative ideas and supporting the senior leadership team with a range of ad hoc projects and initiatives.
