AUDIOLOGIST

I am looking for a band 5/6 Audiologist for the following requirement:

This will be a lone practitioner role - the clinical lead will not be present (although can be contacted remotely for support at any time during the visit)

• Reassessment of existing Audiology patients and hearing aid users, including full history taking, audiometry using AC & BC and ULL’s where required using the Interacoustics Affinity System.

• Tympanometry when clinically indicated using the Titan Tympanometer.

• Exchange of patient’s existing hearing aids by fitting new GN Resound Ambio Smart hearing aids. Fitting using the Affinity REM system. Fittings using moulds and slim tubes

• New hearing aid fittings - moulds and slim tubes and GN Resound Ambio Smart hearing aids.

• Impressions where clinically indicated.

• Completion of full journal records and Individual Management Plans for each patient.

• Counselling and (re)habilitation

• Duties may include Direct Referral patients - this will be clinical exam and assessment with audiometry only as the clinical history will have been previously taken.

Location: Audiology, Gilbert Bain Hospital, NHS Shetland

Dates: ASAP for 6 weeks
