Attendance Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a good telephone manner, excellent communication skills, and experience working within a school environment. Familiarity with attendance procedures and processes is essential, and knowledge of SIMS or similar MIS is advantageous.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Monitor student attendance and punctuality, ensuring records are kept up-to-date.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding attendance matters.
  • Utilise the school’s MIS system to input and manage attendance data.
  • Work collaboratively with the school team to identify patterns of absence and develop strategies to improve attendance.
  • Provide administrative support for attendance-related matters.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of attendance policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working within a school environment.
  • Understanding of attendance procedures and processes.
  • Good telephone manner and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Competency in using MIS systems, with SIMS knowledge
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
  • Reliability, enthusiasm, and good timekeeping.
