Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an award-winning planning consultancy on the hire of an Associate Town Planner to work on infrastructure projects. The role is based out of London, and is permanent and full-time.

Our client specialises in planning, design, archaeology, heritage, economics, landscape, transport and work with a true range of clients. The company employs a large planning team, spread across offices in England and Scotland, and in this role, you will work inside the large team of planners in London.

Join this modern, forward-thinking development consultancy and provide support to the wider planning team and lead on an interesting mix of energy, waste and renewables projects. This can mean asset management initiatives on existing sites to optimise the layout and operational efficiency of business and waste estates, or securing planning permission for new EIA-scale renewable energy infrastructure.

Qualification criteria

  • Planning degree (or another relevant degree)
  • Suitable experience at Principal or Associate level
  • Will have excellent written English skills
  • Will be a Chartered Member of the RTPI/IEMA
  • Will be able to interact confidently with other professionals
  • DCO experience
  • Will demonstrate good organisational ability in order to manage the variety of tasks
  • Will demonstrate willingness for continuous development and proactiveness in keeping industry knowledge and skills up to date
