Senior Solicitor

We are delighted to be looking for a Senior Solicitor for our client based in Glasgow! You will be responsible for ensuring our clients who are major banking and lender businesses are provided with the best possible advice and recommendations around debt recovery, financial disputes, fraud, title and security ratification, professional negligence, tenancy disputes and unsecured debt recoveries.

Key responsibilities;

  • Managing a significant caseload for key financial services clients
  • Proactively running a varied litigation caseload emanating from lender clients in

connection with mortgage, personal and business lending

  • Assisting on key projects for lender clients
  • Providing clients with strategic and commercial advice and negotiating settlements and achieving the best possible outcome for clients
  • Representing clients in a variety of guises
  • Drafting court papers and legal documents
  • Mentoring and supporting peers, trainee solicitors and paralegals in the team

Skills and Experience needed;

  • LLB, Diploma in Legal Practice
  • In depth knowledge of secured debt recovery law and practice
  • Ability to build strong and lasting relationships with clients both through subject matter expertise and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work to specific deadlines to meet the best possible outcome for our clients
  • Commercial awareness to ensure we are meeting are fee targets consistently
