We’re recruiting for Property Claims Handlers to join our growing team, based in our newly refurbished Bolton office. If you have a natural ability to relate to people and are passionate about delivering excellent customer service, then you could be the perfect addition to our team.

Our Property Claims team is responsible for managing all claims relating to Commercial Property. As part of the wider Claims function including Casualty, Motor Engineering and Commercial Motor, you'll contribute to the strategic objectives of AXA Commercial whilst helping our customers protect what matters most to them. Every claim is different and that’s what gives the job so much variety!

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home from our Bolton office. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, such as part-time or condensed hours, which you can discuss with your Reed Talent Solutions Consultant.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensuring each customer feels valued and supported with their claim, providing personalised and accurate information based on your expertise and training. Due to the nature of the role, some claims are because of a distressing or simply unfortunate incident, so listening and acting with empathy is key.
  • Staying composed and level-headed when faced with challenges to effectively assist and support customers during their most critical moments of need.
  • Taking proactive measures and utilising available resources to ensure the best possible outcome for each customer, addressing their specific needs related to their incident or claim. This includes investigating and gathering evidence to help bring each claim to the point of conclusion.
  • Respond promptly to calls, while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail, precise and timely completion of case notes, logs and diaries for each customer.
  • Recognising the signs of a fraudulent claim and referring these for further investigation where needed.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern: Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, a total of 35 hours per week, with no weekend work required!

Induction & Training:

You’ll have a structured onsite training programme with one of our specialist Trainers. Following training and once you’re more competent in the role, you’ll move to a hybrid way of working; working at least 40% of your week away from home at our Bolton office.

We thrive on helping you become the best version on yourself. Throughout your career with us, we’ll provide you with all the support and training necessary to enhance your professional development. We have 1000’s of training opportunities and courses so your future is most definitely within your control
