SRG is currently working exclusively with a highly successful, award winning, contract development and manufacturing organisation focused on providing expert intelligence and support to their partners, driven by their capabilities.

As a result of expansion and a significant increase in workload, we are looking for an expert in Pharmacometrics to join the Pharmacology team.

Typical responsibilities/accountabilities:

  • Apply scientific and pragmatic design thinking to contribute to the delivery of candidate drugs and/or development plans, documentation, data interpretation and decisions for Clients' compounds and products as required (across the whole portfolio).
  • Act as project leader for client projects, providing strategic and scientific PK/PD and biopharmaceutics advice across all stages of discovery and clinical development.
  • Contribute to the design, analysis, and interpretation of non-clinical and clinical pharmacology studies.
  • Conduct human PK and dose prediction through application of pharmacometric principles and analysis.
  • Conduct PK/PD analysis and population PK and PBPK modelling and simulation.
  • Author PK/PD sections of regulatory documents, including INDs, NDAs, briefing packets, Investigator Brochures, etc.
  • Maintain current knowledge of advancements in DMPK and PK/PD science, regulatory guidance documents, FDA rulings, internal SOPs, and internal working practices to be able to contribute ideas to improve technologies and procedures for PK practice.
  • Management of the financial aspects of projects with clients, such as costing proposals and invoicing.
  • Represent at national and international meetings / conferences to build the reputation and awareness of the company
  • Develop business development material such as white papers and technical communications for online posting and attend trade/partnering events

Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to PhD and significant experience across pharmacometrics / pharmacokinetics / clinical pharmacology or Bachelors degree and significant industrial experience of leading.
  • Deep expertise in PK/PD modelling with strong quantitative skills applied to develop models with nonlinear behaviour, mechanistic or semi-mechanistic components relating to mechanism of action and tailored to meet specific drug-development questions.
  • You will be an expert in population Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacokinetic/ Pharmacodynamics modelling.
  • Proficient in modelling (e.g., popPK and PK/PD analyses, model-based meta- analysis, dose-response and exposure-response analyses, dataset creation, disease modeling, trial simulation, optimal study designs, strategic decision analyses, economic modelling).
  • Excellent technical and programming skills with population analysis and other software, including NONMEM and R as a minimum. Experience with Monolix and PKSim is a plus.
  • Evidence of ability to develop drug products and documentation that meet clinical and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to apply scientifically sound principles efficiently in the analysis and interpretation of PK/PD data is a necessity.
  • Valid UK driving license.
