Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Associate Lecturer in STEM Engineering at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a part time, variable hours basisand in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £22.14 - £34.55 per hour.

The Associate Lecturer in STEM Engineering role:

Are you an experienced and passionate fabricator, blacksmith or armourer, looking for a flexible role that will enable you to share your industry expertise with our engaged students who will become the next generation of heritage professionals and aspiring armourers?

We are seeking to recruit a bank Associate Lecturer to join our amazing STEM Engineering team, with a focus on Armoury and Heritage Crafts. This is a flexible bank role which allows you to accept work assignments when convenient to you. Perhaps you are looking for that extra role in addition to your main job that enables you to give back to our students and help shape their future careers.

Key Responsibilities of ourAssociate Lecturer in STEM Engineering:

  • Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
  • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
  • Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
  • To develop curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
  • Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
  • Participating in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.
  • Undertaking the delivery of literacy and numeracy.

Our ideal Associate Lecturer in STEM Engineering should have the below skills and experience:

  • Relevant industrial/commercial experience
  • Working knowledge of Armoury and Heritage Crafts
  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team with interpersonal skills
  • Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners
