Join the esteemed US "Big Law" client's London office as an Associate Lawyer specializing in Share Incentives!
Our client is a premier legal advisor to technology, life sciences, and growth enterprises globally, offering top-tier legal counsel at every stage of development.
 
About Us: Since their inception in 2018, our client’s London team has been dedicated to providing Silicon Valley-style business and legal guidance to UK and European tech companies. They focus on supporting companies from launch to exit, with a particular emphasis on UK and European tech firms exploring US expansion, fundraising, or exits.
 
Role Overview: Our client is seeking a UK qualified Share Incentive Lawyer with 2 to 5 years' PQE to join their London office. In this role, you will advise clients on share option and employee incentive arrangements, supporting our client’s corporate team on investments, M&A, and IPOs.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, draft, and implement formal shares plans including EMI, CSOP, and non-qualified plans.
  • Provide advice on tax implications for employee and employer of all forms of UK employee incentive arrangements.
  • Work closely with the US Employee Benefits and Compensation (EB&C) team on UK/US cross-border issues.
  • Assist in business development activities such as client events and drafting relevant articles and alerts.
Requirements:
  • UK qualified with a valid Solicitors Practicing Certificate.
  • 2-5 years PQE specializing in or with a majority of time spent on employee share incentives.
  • Strong technical understanding of EMI, CSOP, growth shares, and non-qualified options.
Desired Skills:
  • Commercially minded with knowledge of market practices in tech and VC sectors.
  • Knowledge of US incentive arrangements and issues is a major plus.
