Associate Director - Electrical

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? We're hiring an Associate Director with a strong electrical bias to join our team at a Berkshire-based construction consultancy!

Job Opportunity: Associate Director - Electrical

Location: Berkshire (3-4 days per week in office, rest remote)
Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum plus benefits
Client: Well-established construction consultancy

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering Discipline
• Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Professionally Qualified Person Card#
• Proficiency in Engineering calculation tools and Microsoft Office Software
• Desirable: Chartered Engineer status with CIBSE or equivalent institution
• Desirable: 15+ years of building services design experience within a UK consultancy

Personal Qualities:

• Demonstrates a high degree of technical competence with a focus on sustainable/net zero carbon design
• Capable of leading, motivating, and instilling confidence in peers, subordinates, and clients
• Possesses commercial acumen and contractual competency
• Exhibits flexibility and self-motivation in approaching work

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members
• Ensure the quality of designs is maintained while identifying areas for improvement
• Offer technical direction during client and design team meetings
• Manage technical resources to meet project demands
• Review proposals from contractors and recommend improvements
• Identify opportunities for technical enhancement and project delivery efficiency
• Ensure consistency in project delivery while addressing technical and commercial risks
• Lead and deliver projects profitably to meet client expectations

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Support in work winning activities and initiatives
• Maintain fluency in relevant professional codes and standards
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for completed work
• Compile and issue Technical Notes as needed
• Provide input into technical forums to drive innovation and best practices
