A leading independent Accountancy Practice, providing a comprehensive range of accounting, tax, and advisory services to high-growth businesses and individuals is seeking a highly commercial individual with the ability to manage a small number of astute accountants operating within the SME sector. With a commitment to excellence and client satisfaction, the business prides itself on delivering tailored solutions to meet clients' unique needs.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting Services, an Associate Partner or an individual who has managed their own firm to join this dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee our accounting department as well as be involved in the growth of the firm via networking and business development, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. This individual will play a key role in managing client relationships, providing strategic guidance, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the accounting department, including staff supervision, training, and development.
  • Supervise compliance for the business and its clients
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to clients, helping them achieve their business objectives.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior management/director role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of business development and client retention.
