Our Recruitment Academy

The CMA Recruitment Academy develops fresh talent within the team.  Our business is growing and we are looking for an Associate Consultant (Researcher) to join our Executive division and be a part of that growth.  With an office expansion planned, this is a fantastic time to be joining our business.

Over the course of the Academy, you will be exposed to everything you need to build a successful career in executive recruitment, ultimately achieving a Level 3 Certificate in Recruitment Practice (CertRP):

  • Sourcing and managing candidate relationships, learning how to qualify and influence great people;
  • Market mapping to ensure we are aware of where the talent is within our geographies, building relationships with key contacts;
  • Research and analysis of market data;
  • Provision of market intelligence to the team for client use;
  • Commercial awareness in order to maximise all touchpoints and opportunities;
  • Negotiation of offers to achieve excellent results;
  • Managing recruitment projects and taking part in working groups relating to social media, diversity and wellbeing to name a few;
  • Presentation skills with the opportunity to present to our Leadership Team.

What will my development plan look like?

Successful applicants will receive full training and coaching in bite sized chunks, through an externally accredited in-house development programme.  You will be based in our Southampton office, gaining hands-on experience of our business and learning the many valuable skills you will need to be a success.  Development will continue throughout the programme, focusing on industry knowledge, recruitment and softer skills, resulting in professional accreditation.

Who are we looking for?

Whilst a degree is a nice-to-have for this role, we will also consider applications from candidates who have some work experience within a sales / client focused environment.  The most important things to demonstrate are the attributes which make a great recruiter.

Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to speak to, influence, and connect with, a wide variety of people.  We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn and have the drive to succeed.  A collaborative and team focused approach is vital to success at CMA.

We are looking for commercially astute applicants who enjoy challenging themselves and pushing outside of their comfort zones, having the resilience to keep going when times get tough.

Some experience of working in an office environment would be preferable and candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.

Salary: £25,000 + commission, 25 days holiday, pension, healthcare, hybrid working, personal development allowance

Location: This role is based in our Southampton office, with hybrid working available.
