Exciting Opportunity for an Assistant Director in Greenwich

Join the dynamic team at Ackerman Pierce! We're currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director for an initial 3-6 month contract in Greenwich, with the potential for extension based on performance and internal circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct management of 1-4 staff members and indirect management of up to 15 staff, including consultants and contractors.
  • Reporting to the Integrated Director of Commissioning.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Strategic leadership for the development and implementation of our commissioning approach for adults and/or children across the Council and NHS.
  • Co-production, design, and implementation of our integrated strategic commissioning framework.
  • Establishing governance structures that support an integrated, outcome-focused approach to health and care.
  • Collaborative work with the market and residents to deliver transformational change through commissioning for outcomes.
  • Overseeing the implementation of effective management of RBG and NHS budgets used to commission relevant health, care, and joint services for adults and/or children.

Preferred Experience:

  • Post-qualifying experience within a statutory team in the UK Social Care industry.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Experience working at Assistant Director level within a local authority
