Assistive Technology Specialist

€34,000 - €38,000 per annum

Our trailblazing global AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) company, is on the lookout for an exceptional Assistive Technology Specialist to join our Global Partners Team and report to the Head of Global Partner Sales. At Smartbox, our cutting-edge technology gives a voice to those with limited speech, positively impacting the lives of people with disabilities worldwide. As an Assistive Technology Specialist, you will help Smartbox deliver our market-leading technology to as many people as possible across Ireland (including both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland).

Your expertise in increasing sales, product awareness, and building and maintaining long-term relationships with key customers will be key to our continued success. This is a remote role, with the requirement to come into the office a few times a month. The salary for this position will be determined based on the applicant's education, skills and experience.

How will you be making a difference?

  • Promote our products and services to key accounts and drive new business as assigned by the Head of Global Partner Sales.
  • Key account management - Build and maintain personal and robust client relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide market intelligence to identify product and service improvement areas for our R&D teams.
  • Ensure the customer has an exceptional experience dealing with Smartbox products and services through training and other initiatives.
  • Conduct professional and informative sales presentations and product events including product information days with different client groups.
  • Ensure all business activity and operations are delivered in line with the Smartbox strategy and mission.
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Visit individuals, centres, schools and care homes to demonstrate, trial and train on Smartbox products.
  • Evaluate which products are most appropriate for each individual or organisation and provide written recommendations.

Essential qualifications/ skills/ experience:

  • Full Drivers Licence.
  • An understanding of the AAC industry and our competitors.
  • Effective communicator with proven presentation experience.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and credibility.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial astute.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and rapport.
  • A genuine passion for helping people succeed with AAC technology.
  • Experience in the field of AAC and assistive technology is desirable but not essential.
