About the Role:

The overall purpose of the role is to support a team of Underwriters and ensure an excellent level of service and communication, whilst developing into a full underwriter with training.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist Underwriters
• Communicate and build relationships with Brokers
• Retrieve data for Underwriters as requested
• Deal with incoming quotation enquiries
• Maintain underwriting documentation
• Process new business and renewals
• Data entry
• Develop underwriting knowledge
• Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Some personal lines or commercial insurance experience desirable
• Computer literate
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Proactive
• Organisation skills
• An appetite for achievement and building a career within the insurance market

Salary/Benefits Information:

• A generous salary dependent on experience up to £30,000 p.a (DOE)
