Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Brighton, with projects in and around London

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

My client is a leading retail, hospitality, and leisure fit-out company with a robust presence in and around London, is seeking a dynamic and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team based in Brighton.

Experience in fit out is NOT essential for this role, the right candidate will be presentable and confident in their ability as a QS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting cost estimates and budget preparation for retail, hospitality, and leisure fit-out projects.
  • Collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier agreements.
  • Monitoring project costs and implementing cost-control measures.
  • Producing regular financial reports for project stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in quantity surveying within the retail, hospitality, or leisure fit-out sector is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in industry-related software and tools.
