Salary: up to £25,000 per annum

THE COMPANY

The company is a well-established, thriving manufacturer and distributor of electrical products, including wiring accessories, LED lighting, safety alarms and cables. The products are specified by the major Housing Developers and are distributed through electrical wholesale, merchants and many DIY retailers.

JOB SCOPE

The successful candidate will be required to meet the following functions and responsibilities:

• Support senior engineers in developing electrical products in liaison with manufacturing partners.

• Assist with testing and evaluation of products, recording test results and reporting on improvements required.

• Establish product and packaging labelling and marking requirements.

• Produce and maintain technical literature including product specifications and packaging specifications

• Ensure products comply with relevant BS EN safety standards and directives including EMC, REACH and RoHS.

• Maintain up to date technical support files, including WEEE and packaging weight data.

• Collaborate with the Quality Team to investigate product problems, to report findings and manage product improvements with partner factories.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Educated in an Engineering discipline

• An appreciation of manufacturing processes, product standards and taking a quality approach to problem solving.

• Able to identify product features and benefits.

• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
