Outskirts of Colchester

Our retained client is looking for a experienced Assistant Manager for their beautiful gastro pub in Suffolk. This venue is in a picturesque village on the outskirts of Colchester. Their restaurant has plenty of charm & character and is serving traditional British cuisine with a twist. This is a destination venue in the summer months as they cater for tourist and locals in high volume.

The ideal candidate will have experience of supervising, training staff, effectively communicating with both front & back of house and being a real hands on team player.

As Assistant Manager you will be a hands on professional that is capable of building strong relationships with both staff and guests.

As Assistant Manager you will:

  • Lead, train and motivate staff
  • Work closely with the management team and Head Chef
  • Deputise in the absence of the General Manager
  • Delivery of exceptional service at all times
  • Ensure effective communication occurs throughout the team and between all departments.

Ideal Candidate must have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ hospitality management experience in a fresh food establishment
  • Knowledge of fine wines and beverages
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ambition to surpass the high standards already set at this venue

Due to location a car driver is preferable but not essential. Easily accessible from Colchester, Ipswich and Sudbury.
