A rare and fascinating opportunity has arisen within a boutique professional services firm that has an excellent reputation. The Assistant Manager position requires candidates to hold a relevant Category B professional qualification, such as ACCA/ICSA/STEP Diploma.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a signatory for the company and its group affiliates regulated by the JFSC.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients within the group.
  • Attending client meetings, liaising with clients, advisers, investment managers, and bankers.

The Assistant Manager is also tasked with establishing and managing relationships with intermediaries and clients, assisting in generating new business enquiries, supervising junior team members, conducting client file reviews, preparing minutes, monitoring clients’ cash requirements, and ensuring compliance with PPM and AML Manuals.

Additionally, the Assistant Manager is responsible for responding to client queries, reviewing and managing outstanding aged debts, providing guidance to team administrators, addressing action points from reviews and risk escalations, and participating in committees or sub-committees introduced by the board.

Key skills and experience requirements:
A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a Private Client role within the Jersey trust industry.

Candidates must have entitled-to-work status in Jersey, be fully qualified to meet Category B requirements in the JFSC Codes of Practice for TCB, and possess excellent organisational, communication, and networking skills.

An understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, Jersey trust, company, foundation, and limited partnerships law, as well as knowledge of UK tax issues, financial markets, and the world economy, is essential.
