Pay range: £32,550.00-£40,219.00 per year

Our client provide care, support and accommodation for children and young people aged between 8-17 years old in small residential care homes where they aim to achieve excellent outcomes for the children and young people in care.

They have an opportunity coming up for an Assistant Manager on a permanent basis at their new Residential Childcare Home pending opening in Stockton, they also have an opening in Redcar which is available due to internal promotion.

In this role, reporting to the Residential Manager, you will support in ensuring the effective and efficient running of the Home including a high standard of care, whilst ensuring staff engagement, development and performance in their contribution to delivery of the service. You will also support the strategic development of the service and contribute towards organisational development.

You should possess your QCF Level 3 or 4 (or 5 supercedes) in Children and Young People's Workforce (or accepted equivalent) in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations and be enrolled or working towards your QCF Level 5, with a commitment to complete this within the required timescale. It is an essential requirement that you have experience of managing and supervising a staff team in a care setting. If not already held, the successful candidate will be required to undertake the level 5 supervision module within 3 months of appointment. This will be funded by Ar Curam.

In addition, candidates must have experience of working in a Residential Childcare setting, having worked in a position relevant to the residential care of children, or vulnerable groups at Senior level for 2 years in the last 5. Candidates should also be confident in their leadership and decision making abilities.
