The Assistant Management Accountant role is an integral part of a dedicated accounting and finance team in the not for profit and charities sector.

Client Details

Our client is a well-respected organisation within the not for profit and charities industry. With a large team located in Salford, they are instrumental in providing key services and support to numerous individuals and groups within the community.

Description

The key responsibilities of a Assistant Management Accountant will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis for management.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
  • Support the management team by providing key financial data and analysis.
  • Assist in the financial planning and decision-making process by providing relevant financial information.
  • Help to ensure financial compliance and governance.
  • Support other team members and departments with financial enquiries.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

  • An educational background in accounting or finance or Not for Profit and Charities.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and databases.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and particularly in Excel.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to commute to Salford.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
