The Opportunity

Are you a CIMA / ACCA studying accountant looking for progression, development and variety?

You’ll be joining an SME that expects to double in size over the next 3-4 years. During that time the Head of Finance / Financial Controller is looking to take you on a journey into their role (as part of a retirement succession plan).

So - you’ll fast track into the number 1 in finance role for the UK business within 5 years! Lots of businesses make that hollow promise but this is baked into the plan and a mega opportunity as a result!

The role is fully fledged management accounting - month end, P&L analysis, variance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, stock and margin analysis, system development, process improvement, year end… an interesting and varied remit and an awesome platform of rounded experience to push on from.

You’ll have access to mentoring from a highly experienced and approachable FC - someone who can give you the freedom you need to pick up new tasks but also the support and training to allow you to transition into the FC / Head of Finance role.

There’s lots going on including a new software instal - it’s a modern growth business within a large international group. Major investment is being made in the UK and it’s a great environment to work in; collaborative, professional but down to earth and fun.

It would suit an ambitious finalist / studying accountant (ACCA or CIMA) looking to push on with their own development and career.

Hybrid working (3 days per week in the modern office setting).

Required:

• Studying toward ACCA or CIMA.
• Track record of success in a management accountant / assistant MA role.
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
• Genuine appetite to learn and progress your career.
• Ability to work in a team and discuss financial information with a non finance audience.
