Assistant Financial Accountant

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant to join an exciting Professional Services company experiencing huge growth based near central Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

£28,000 - £36,000 plus excellent benefits including study support for CIMA/ACCA, hybrid remote working and subsidised gym membership

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Bringing accounts to the trial balance stage, reconciling control accounts, and taking responsibility for the aspects of the general ledger which are under your control
• Assist with payments, indirect and direct taxation, and reporting
• Prepare data and narrative for various monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports concerning all aspects of the business
• Work together with finance colleagues, as well as colleagues from other departments to provide a flexible approach that increases their exposure to finance practices and maximises their learning experience

Person specification:

• Currently studying CIMA/ACCA
• Competent in month end procedures and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ability to use your initiative to resolve reconciliation issues and discrepancies
• Organised and quick to prioritise your work as needed
• You will enjoy working as part of a busy team and be keen to take on new tasks as team roles rotate
• Have good communication skills and be able to naturally build positive relationships
