Assistant Finance Controller

Location: Lowton (WA3)
Hrs: Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:00hrs & Fri's 07:30-12:40hrs
Contract Type: 10 month FTC

Job Role
Our client, a well establish, manufacturing/engineering business, based in Lowton, require an experienced Accountant/Finance Controller for a minimum 10-month fixed term contract.

As the Assistant Financial Controller, your duties will be:

• Assist with budget preparation.
• Manage, control and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in month end processing.
• Consolidation of UK & European accounts.
• To oversee and assist in the day-to-day VAT Returns, Invoices, Aged Creditors and Debtors etc.
• Prepare accurate and timely journals.

The ideal Assistant Financial Controller will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Have solid experience working in a Finance/Accounting department.
• Must be minimum part qualified AAT.
• Experience os Syspro/SAP or Sage is ideal.
• Strong IT skills including Excel spreadsheets/pivot tables/formatting/Lookups and all Microsoft Office functions.
• Knowledge of fixed assets/depreciation/AP/AR/credit control is ideal.
• High level of analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
