Reed are exclusively working with a fantastic, vibrant organisation, recruiting for the strategic position of Assistant Engagement Director to join the team on a permanent basis.

This role will lead on the strategy to enhance involvement, community and promote a vibrant experience,  vital to shaping the overall engagement piece and ensure an inclusive environment for all. Strategic support to the CEO and management team in the implementation of the organisation's strategy, and delivering against departmental plans in line with aims.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing management for 3 teams, track workload and performance, supporting as required
  • Develop, lead and implement the engagement strategy in line with missions and values
  • Conduct assessments and gather stakeholder feedback, inform strategic priorities & initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to enhance involvement across diverse populations and disciplines
  • Cultivate strong collaborative partnerships to promote collaboration and maximise resources
  • Contribute to strategy, developing and exert influence on decision making as part of the SLT
  • Attend meetings with partner organisations, represent & support elected officers as required
  • Empower member leadership & development, provide opportunities to foster a sense of responsibility, inclusivity & ethical leadership
  • Monitor trends, establish metrics & assessments tools to evaluate the impact & effectiveness of the Engagement strategy
  • Keep updated with technologies and best practice in the industry, offering insights and expertise 
  • Ensure delivery of services, gathering feedback and implementing continuous improvement
  • Provide expertise in financial planning and management, navigating challenges within the non-profit sector, developing and overseeing budgets ensuring efficient allocation of financial resources, tracking expenses and analysing financial date, preparing reports on financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • Proven leadership experience, leading, managing and motivating diverse teams
  • Ability to deliver services that enhance engagement levels, supporting teams in engaging with stakeholders and influential networks
  • Proficient in financial management including budgets, planning and oversight
  • Familiarity with challenges in the non-profit sector
  • Strong problem solving and decision making
  • Able to manage a variable workload with changing priorities and deadlines in a proactive manner
  • Strong communication skills at all levels
  • Able to demonstrate ability to executive strategic reports and deliver outcomes in line with objectives
