My client is recruiting for an assistant building manager based at a residential development in St Johns Wood.

The estate has 66 units across the complex, with 8 concierge working 24/7.

Working times are welcomed as follows: - 8am to 5pm

Salary range is: - £28k to £33k dependant on experience.

23 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To have overall responsibility for all aspects of the daily operation to their estate.
  • To be responsible all incoming and outgoing emails.
  • To be responsible for all calls.
  • To oversee day-to-day and new starter training to all staff ensuring that the Management standards of operation and performance are adhered to at all times.
  • Reporting to the Property Manager and working with him/her to ensure that the services provided to all residents and staffs are in accordance to the company mission statement and company handbook.
  • Liaison with all relevant parties on snagging issues and defects.
  • To oversee day-to-day training and new starter departmental training of all staff
  • To enforce staff uniform and name badges are worn and standards of appearance are always maintained.
  • To attend all meetings as required by Management.
  • To chair regular staff meetings (monthly) to ensure good lines of communication.
  • Have an approachable management style so as any member of staff can feel at ease to request a 1-2-1 meeting.
  • All emergencies, all breaches of the lease, all serious defects, any matter likely to be the subject of formal complaints, all breaches of discipline by any member of staff, all breaches of contract by any contractor.
  • Responsible for ensuring all maintenance contracts including all Health & Safety requirements are carried out according to the current schedules and legislation.
