Assistant Branch Manager - Timber Merchant

Peterborough £35,000 - £40,000 Plus bonus

Assistant Branch Manager position selling a range of predominantly timber products.

Selling into various main contractors, and subcontractors including joinery contractors, building contractors, housebuilders, fencing contractors, hoarding contractors, façade contractors, shop fitters as well as occasional retail trade end users. Typical order values ranging from £500 £20,000.

• Primarily a sales focused role with a minor focus on the operational side of the business.
• Looking after an internal sales team.
• Dealing with inbound sales enquiries via telephone and email
• You will be given ledger accounts to manage and increase sales from pro-actively selling, following up leads and enquiries promptly.
• An element of looking for potential new business opportunities

• The ideal applicant will be an Assistant Branch Manager Softwood Timber and Panel Products
• Must have 2-3+ years sales experience within a merchants.
• If not merchants, other construction sales experience would be considered.
• Any knowledge of timber products highly advantageous but not essential
• A strong commercial acumen with a passion for sales
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be a good team player.
