Assistant Branch Manager

Yeovil

Salary 35,000 to 40,0000 Plus Bens

Hours of work 08:00 to 17.00 Mon to Friday

Job Purpose:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operation of the site, ensuring that the product is produced efficiently, effectively and to a consistently high quality.
  • Assist with the effective and efficient stock management of the branch products.
  • Assist with the generation of production plans in support of business stock targets, and then ensuring that the production function meets the requirements in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery
  • Assist with developing and implementing business processes and standards relating to Production, Quality, Engineering, Environmental, Health & Safety, Training and other relevant areas of the company activities.

Requirement/Experience/Competence/Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
  • Knowledge of QHSE Legislation.
  • Strong organisational skills and diligence and the ability to multi-task when dealing with staff matters.
  • Proven experience to work as part of a team.
  • Engineering / Quality / Process Engineering background would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Displays a good attitude towards work, and the aims and objectives of the company.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and experience of conducting interviews.

Job Duties:

  • Assist the GM with leadership and support of the Yeovil Team.
  • Assist the GM with the management, review and report of all overtime, holiday, and sickness.
  • Assist the GM with Return-to-work interviews in accordance with the Company’s Attendance Policy
  • Assist the GM with Disciplinary action as and when required.
  • Help manage the production process, managing the production schedules in line with the customer requirements and the overall needs of the business.
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance of equipment (TPM)
  • Ensure that the production function is cost effective - monitoring the human, material and capital resources in the correct way to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure that all company procedures are adhered to - these include health and safety, quality and SOP.
  • Report to the GM daily -on adherence to schedules, quality, cost, delivery and performance etc.
  • Ensure successful and timely delivery of products/services to customers according to their requirements.
  • Assist with customer enquiries/complaints and conflicts efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare reports of sales metrics over a specified period - monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
  • Learn and maintain competence on company business and IT systems to include Kinetic.
  • Undertake Quality Assurance activities such as monitor, test, inspect and audit suppliers, products and services to ensure conformity to required specification.
