Assistant Accountant

Role: Assistant Capital Accountant

Location: South West London - SW

Salary: £29-32k + study support & benefits

This is a well-established and premium hotel business based in south west London. They are a reputable organisation within the hospitality and catering sector, with an award-winning selection of serviced apartments and hotels across the globe.

Due to recent expansion, they are looking to hire a progressive Assistant Accountant (CAPEX) to join their finance department.

Role

The Assistant Accountant for this well established hospitality business based in south west London, will work closely with the Finance Manager and wider team. They will support in the day-to-day running of the capital accounting functions. They will take on a number of key duties including:

• Raise Purchase Orders for various CAPEX projects.
• Process CAPEX invoices and maintain timely payment to vendors.
• Liaise with approval teams on Capital spend (actual and budget) approval and budget reallocation when needed.
• Submit required CAPEX related reports.
• Assist with month end reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, in a timely manner.
• Assist with internal and external queries including internal audit reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures at all times.
• Support the Capital Accountant and Finance Manager, as required.

Profile

The ideal profile for this Assistant Accountant role, should have the following attributes:

• Ideally 2+ years of experience within a similar finance capacity (Accounts Payable etc.).
• Experience with CAPEX / Costs / Fixed-Assets would be advantageous.
• Background in Hospitality / Hotels would be ideal.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong levels of attention to detail.
• Proficient with Excel.
• SAP experience is advantageous.

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
