Assistant Accountant

Alexander Lloyd are proud to be working exclusively with a reputable business based in Crawley who are keen to appoint a new Assistant Accountant immediately, on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, bright, progressive and looking for that next step in their career, having either started studies or looking for study support.

You will have ideally been in an accounts assistant role for a few years, working on the payables and receivables function, keen to now develop your skill set into an Assistant Accountant position

You new role will entail

Transactional Duties (incl AP & AR)

Making payments

Accruals and Prepayments

Monthly Journals

Bank Reconciliations

Intercompany Reconciliations

Maintain fixed asset register

Assist in month end tasks

Handle suppliers and customers queries

Working closely with other members of the finance team to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner

We are looking for someone with intermediate excel including pivot tables and vlookups. SAP would be desirable but not essential.

A great opportunity for someone who is highly organised, has a desire to develop existing skillset, a confident, clear communicator with the ability to partner with the wider business.
