Assistant Accountant

Key Responsibilities: 

• Efficiently handling purchase ledger invoices through matching, batching, and coding.
• Applying the same meticulous approach to sales ledger invoices.
• Proactively chasing outstanding debts to improve cash flow.
• Aiming to reduce debtor days through effective credit control.
• Managing daily banking tasks with precision.
• Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Preparing journals and managing prepayments.
• Completing VAT Returns in a timely and accurate manner.
• Preparing payroll information to support the finance team.
• Conducting cash book reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.

Candidate Profile: 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role, showcasing the ability to manage the duties listed above. Immediate availability is essential as the need for support is urgent and also able to commit to an office based role is essential.
