Assistant Accountant

Alexander Daniels are working with a well-established company in Wednesbury who are looking to hire an Assistant Accountant on a full-time basis. Reporting into the Financial Accountant, the successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team and will assist with the following tasks:

• Post accruals, prepayments, and journals accurately and in a timely manner.
• Bank and statement reconciliation.
• Assist with the preparation of daily cash reports.
• Work with the team to review the Profit and Loss statement and prepare monthly management accounts.
• Assist the wider team and the accounts payable team with other duties.
• Complete other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Finance Accountant.

The ideal candidate will be studying toward or have completed an AAT qualification or Bachelors' Degree in Accounting & Finance, and will be aiming to study towards ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent. The successful candidate will have experience in a fast-paced finance department and have strong Excel skills with an eagerness to learn and progress.
