Walters People have partnered with a leading business based in Coventry in their recruitment of an Assistant Accountant on an 3-6 month contract. The role will be paying £28k - £30k and will offer hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:

* Month end reconciliations
* Journal postings
* Accruals and prepayments
* Supporting year end procedures
* Stock accounting
* IFRS posting

The successful candidate will have the following:

* AAT/CIMA qualification
* Relevant accounts experience
* High attention to detail and the ability to input data quickly and accurately
* Strong work ethic
* Able to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise workload
* Self-motivated and works effectively under pressure
* Works in a structured, methodical manner
* Takes personal responsibility for resolving queries and issues Uses initiative
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
