Our client is actively seeking driven individuals to join their dynamic accounts department and support their growth journey. As an Assistant Accountant, you'll collaborate closely with an experienced finance manager at the Solihull site, contributing to the daily operations of a prominent entity.

This role offers extensive mentorship and significant responsibilities, making it an ideal opportunity for motivated individuals eager to excel. Working alongside the Plant Controller, your initial duties will involve managing the sales and purchase ledger, overseeing invoicing, and efficiently handling credit follow-ups. You'll excel in precise bank and supplier statement reconciliations, advancing to managing accrued and prepaid income entries. As you master the fundamentals, you'll further engage in the management accounts pack, exploring areas such as fixed assets and stock management.

Skills required

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and a strong appetite for learning and assuming new responsibilities.
  • Ideally, possess AAT qualifications, along with foundational knowledge of entry-level accounts, and a commitment to pursuing ACCA/CIMA studies.
  • Confident interpersonal skills to thrive within a lively office environment characterised by diverse personalities.
  • Prior experience in processing accruals and prepayments, providing a solid basis for further development.
