Assistant Accountant

Astute Recruitment are partnering with a highly recognised and well-established company based in Loughborough to help bring in an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis to join their dynamic team.

This role provides an exciting opportunity for someone is eager to learn, develop and grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Support with both month and year end procedures
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements and other financial documents
• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as accounts payable/receivable and invoice processing
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets
• Provide ad hoc administrative support to the finance function as and when necessary

Requirements:

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work effective both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary, benefits, and hours:

• Salary up to £28,000 depending on experience

• Hybrid - 2 days from home
• 26 days holidays plus bank holidays with an increase to 31 with service
