A fantastic new Assistant Accountant role has arisen for a growing business based in central Reading, seeking an AAT studier looking to progress and develop their accounting skills within a fast paced organisation.

Key duties of the role will include:

  • Processing accounts payable and receivable invoices
  • Reconciling customer and supplier accounts
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations
  • Contacting customers to ensure timely payments for invoices
  • Posting journals
  • Accruals & prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with audit queries

Skills and experience required includes:

  • Someone actively studying AAT qualifications
  • Sound foundation of accounting knowledge such as debits & credits
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player
  • Some prior experience of working within an accounting role
  • Intermediate excel skills
