Assistant Accountant - Fixed Assets - £20 per hour

We have an immediate requirement for an Assistant Accountant to join an Oxford-based global business, joining their busy finance team. It is a varied and interesting role, supporting the production of monthly management accounts and managing the fixed asset register. This is a temporary contract to begin with, but could ultimately become permanent for the right individual.

Assistant Accountant responsibilities:

• Posting of journals to D365 to assist in monthly management accounts preparation, including fixed assets capitalisation, depreciation, prepayments and accruals;
• Overall management of fixed asset register including impairment reviews, completeness and accuracy and presenting status to management on a monthly basis;
• Managing company capex approval workflow;
• Completing monthly reconciliation of fixed assets from D365;
• Reviewing headcount data received on a monthly basis and preparing journals to track changes in D365;
• Posting cash expense journals from information received from Concur;
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis;
• Assisting in completion of monthly cost centre reviews by obtaining data from D365 and providing it to finance business partners in a format suitable for review;

We would expect the Assistant Accountant to be part qualified (CIMA or ACCA) and have demonstrable previous experience working in a similar role.
