Asset, Trade and Energy Finance Associate

They are currently seeking an ambitious Associate to join ATEF, supporting both the Trade and Commodity Finance and Asset-Based Lending teams.

About the Team

• This Asset, Trade, and Energy Finance (ATEF) division encompasses a spectrum of specialized finance areas, including aviation finance, trade and commodity finance, asset-based lending, project finance, and export finance.
• The team is highly sought after by clients seeking expertise in intricate commodity, trade, receivables, export, and structured financings.
• They consistently earn top rankings in both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 directories, catering to a diverse clientele comprising major UK and international banks, trading houses, specialized funds, and prominent borrowers.

Required Experience, Skills, and Attributes:

• Proficiency in structured commodity finance structures, including borrowing base facilities and pre-export financings.
• Experience in receivables financing and asset-based lending.
• Ideally, experience working with international clients.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Evidence of keen interest in business development.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset.
• Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
