We are looking for an Asset Records Support Officer within our Asset Records team based in Horley reporting directly to the Asset Records Manager.

What will you be doing day to day?

  • Managing a team administering all maintained asset records including;
  • Maintenance of Maximo to ensure accurate records of all maintained assets
  • Maintenance of Pressure Systems Database and Written Schemes of Examination to ensure legislative compliance
  • Register, monitor and log progress of modifications/repairs onto the PS/5 database.
  • Update systems affected by the modifications/repairs.
  • Schedule appropriate maintenance/inspections to comply with company policy.
  • Investigate irregularities between systems.
  • Maintain a library of relevant documentation e.g. PS/5 documents, drawings, maintenance reports, PSSR inspection results etc.
  • Provide information and historic records to a variety of departments upon request.
  • Creation and provision of reports and management information.
  • Creating and implementing new ideas and processes and improvements to existing processes.
  • Liaison with Asset and Maintenance Managers/Engineers
  • Performance and development of the Asset Records team including briefings, presentations, 1-2-1’s
  • Supporting the wider Gas Control team with other tasks when required

What you’ll need

  • You will be highly organised, capable of working under pressure to tight deadlines and responding to changing priorities at short notice
  • People person with a solid ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Be able to think ahead to anticipate issues and obstacles and flex strategies to avoid them and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • You should act with integrity, respect, and have a positive attitude to always portray a professional image.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Have a good knowledge of how operational gas assets and systems work to interpret various formats of asset data.
  • An understanding of key policies used within Asset Management would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills supporting regular liaison with other departments and stakeholders within SGN or externally
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel, comfortable dealing with large datasets and can use multiple software packages to manage workloads and tasks.
