Pay Rate: £35 per hour

Hours: Full-time. Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day. Initial contract is 4 months.

Main Duties of theAssessor/Tutor:

  • Support the School of Workforce Development in delivering comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and tutoring within classroom, workplace, or individual settings.
  • Facilitate and oversee the induction, initial assessment, and skills scans of learners. Develop tailored assessment and learning plans to address learner and employer needs.
  • Guide learners through qualification completion, adhering to standards and the EQA requirements of awarding bodies.
  • Provide training, foundational knowledge, mentoring, and competency development to Apprentices both in classroom and workplace environments, adapting approaches as needed to align with business demands and prepare for the End Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Assess apprentice and learner competency in both workplace and classroom settings, ensuring alignment with qualification requirements and timely completion.
  • Maintain detailed attendance records and comprehensive documentation including Individual Learning Plans/Agreements, Learner Reviews, SMART targets, and progress reports.
  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of learner progress and achievements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Complete necessary documentation promptly (enrolments, achievements, withdrawals) to comply with college quality assurance processes and funding body requirements.
  • Participate in regular meetings, standardization sessions, and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities organised by the School of Workforce Training and Development.
  • Proactively provide market insights and identify business opportunities for the School of Workforce Training and Development, contributing to learner recruitment and business growth initiatives.

Applicant Requirements of the Assessor/Tutor:

  • Must hold Assessors qualification and, Lvl 3 NVQ
  • Hold qualifications at AET/PTTLS level or higher or be willing to pursue certification.
