Who we need

You will possess sound knowledge of Pharmacy standards for L2 & L3 awards. You will be GPhC registered and have worked within the industry in the last 5 years.

You will support the curriculum with ensuring apprentices have the knowledge, skills and behaviour to succeed whilst in college and in the workplace. As part of your learner journey responsibility, key duties will include:

  1. To ensure apprentices cover the relevant knowledge, skills, and behaviours of their vocational area, to meet their end point assessment.
  1. Be responsible for conducting reviews as appropriate, which could take place remotely or in the workplace, and could involve local or national travel depending on the area of work.
  1. Take responsibility for a caseload of apprentices and their E-portfolios, ensuring timely completion within agreed and appropriate timescales.
  1. Liaise with employers, employer mentors to tailor the apprentices learning based on their individual needs. Build professional working relationships with employers within the sector to encourage employer engagement.
  1. Provide learners with a comprehensive, detailed assessment and progress review with supportive feedback in conjunction with the employer to ensure learning progression is identified and correctly recorded.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with the relevant pharmacy qualifications. This role involves working alongside a small and supportive team were ideas to develop the curriculum are encouraged. Essential skills and experience include:

-Demonstrate exceptional organisational and planning skills with excellent timekeeping and attendance

-Hold an assessor’s award A1 or equivalent, working towards, or be willing to complete

-Understanding and experience of the delivery and assessment in the subject area

-Experience of motivating and leading individuals to achieve results and performance targets

-Able to work effectively as a member of a team

-Have a respectful and inclusive attitude to students and colleagues.

-Understanding of Microsoft teams, to support with reviews, delivery (as needed) and meeting using this, with the learner and their managers.

-Hold a valid UK driving licence and be willing to travel to see learners in their workplace across Nottingham, Leicester and Derby.

Interviews / Assessments are planned for: 3rd May onwards.
