Are you a compassionate and dedicated social worker with a passion for making a difference in the lives of teenagers & Children's?

Redcar and Cleveland contextual safeguarding team are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Social Workers to join their expanding team. The team consists of adolescent social workers, Edge of Care advocates, homeless prevention workers
and a specialist exploitation Workers. The team specialises in harm outside the home and our edge of care advocates work intensively alongside both social workers and families to prevent teenagers coming into care and empowering families to create their own network of support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of children and families referred to social services, gathering information from multiple sources to identify needs, strengths, risks, and protective factors.
• Work alongside our homeless prevention workers and exploitation workers to provide additional support for families
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interventions, assessments, and progress reports in accordance with statutory requirements and organizational policies
• Provide expert advice and consultation to colleagues, including social work assistants, team managers, and other professionals, regarding assessment processes and best practices.
• The role is both demanding and challenging but the reward and satisfaction of making the lives of teenagers in our local area safer far outweigh these.
