Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician, Workington, £11.79 per hour

We are recruiting on behalf of our client who are based in Workington & are looking to recruit a number of Assembly Technicians on a temporary basis.

The hours of work are 7.00am -16.30pm Monday -Thursday & 7.00am -15.30pm on a Friday, the following week is Monday-Thursday 7.00am -16.30pm with a Friday off.

You will be working on an assembly line where you will be required to use power & manual tools following engineering drawings & whilst working to targets on the production line. You will be following health & safety controls & working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assembly line fitting.
• Use of power and manual tools.
• Check and verify accuracy of assemblies on completion.
• Daily and accurate completion of records including timesheets and inspection status documentation.
• Report any manufacturing and assembly errors to team leader so corrective action can be agreed.
• To adhere to all required quality and H&S standards.
• Meeting set targets whilst working on the production line.
• Ensuring the safe and controlled movement of production parts.
• To work with other departments to set priorities regarding assembly build to ensure all builds are complete within required timeframes.

Experience

• The ideal applicant will have experience working in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Experience of using hand & power tools
• Good attention to detail and able to work as a team player, performing to a high standard.
