Manufacturing & Assembly Technician


Contract: 6 months contracts available (Extension and/or temp to perm is a possibility but not guaranteed)

Rate: £13.72 per hour (+time and a quarter for overtime)

Location: Goole

Monday - Friday: 07:00 - 15:00

Adecco have an exciting new opportunity to work as Manufacturing Cleaning Operator with an innovative organisation in Goole. The ideal individual would have confident ability to work with small component parts, dissemble clean with tools and reassemble in correct sequence

Skills:
* Experience in production environment
* Cleaning experience not necessary
* Ability to work with small parts
* Previous use of power tools, ideally blast machinery for cleaning of surface materials
* Understanding of tools and parts; able to follow technical instructions and/or diagrams
* Mechanical knowledge/experience
* Previous experience as operator or working in assembly or manufacturing process is highly beneficial
* All training provided


What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Traction Supervisors - an operative ensures the efficient cleaning, preparing & painting of motors & gearbox components in an industrial manufacturing environment; to facilitate, support and maximise all production activities.

* Ensure timely cleaning of industrial components with the aid of COSHH assessed substances working to strict deadlines.
* Use of dry ice blasting equipment to clean motors, gearboxes and miscellaneous components
* Use of industrial wash machines & equipment to clean motors, gearboxes and miscellaneous components
* Movement and preparation of materials as necessary to support production activities.
* Recycle (and/or reuse) waste / consumable materials in accordance with Company requirements.
* Take responsibility for H,S & E and ensure control measures are in place. Actively support zero harm culture; specifically, the recording of near misses, reporting of accidents/incidents and assist the Zone Owner with completion of any risk assessments in the production work area.
* Take ownership and responsibility for one or more H,S & E related tasks within a zone/s; if appropriate take responsibility of H,S & E designated Zone.
* Participate in any continuous improvement's activities, including workshops and discussion groups relating to quality, cost and delivery performance. Assist and support the implementation and promotion of continuous improvement within the production area.
* Awareness and contribution to Company targets in relation to quality, cost and delivery.
