Adecco are looking for an experienced and professional Assembly Operative to join our well established client located in the Newcastle under Lyme area. The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working within an electronics manufacturers.

Temporary role with the view to lead to a permanent position after 12 weeks.

Full time hours Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-4:00PM and Friday 7:00AM-12 NOON.

Rate from £11.44PH

As a assembly operative you will be responsible for assembling and ensuring the quality of products are to standard and in compliance with relevant policies and procedures. Duties are as follows-

  • To carry out general production work
  • To operate and clean assembly and production machinery and also hand-held tools
  • To work from diagrams and instructions
  • To maintain accurate process data/records/documentation associated with your work
  • To inform supervisors of faulty machinery or production issues
  • To adhere to health and safety standards
  • To adhere to operational procedures and production timelines
  • To carry out lean manufacturing processes and 5S
  • To collaborate with technical and quality departments when required

Candidate skills and requirements-

  • Excellent communication skills- ability to liaise with other departments and management when required
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to deadlines
  • Desire to continuously learn and improve skills
  • Good knowledge of IPC standards
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Proactive and positive attitude
  • Soldering experience preferred
