We are currently seeking a Factory Operative to join a Maidstone based manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality products. Our client takes pride in its commitment to excellence and strives to create a positive and rewarding work environment for its employees.

This position is in the timber section and will involve lifting heavy pieces of wood ready to be cut to size, for this reason a good level of physical fitness is required.

Job Description:

As a Production Assembly Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and timely production of products. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently, and collaboratively in a team environment.
In the timber section you will be lifting large pieces of wood and carrying this to the saw, where you will then cut it to size following to the correct measurement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Follow production schedules and adhere to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members to maximise efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.

Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude (preferred but not essential)
  • Interest in woodwork / carpentry. 

This is a temp to perm position paying £11.44 per hour.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00
