Aspiring Educational Therapist

We are working alongside a brilliant Secondary School in Havering that is actively looking for an equally brilliant Aspiring Educational Therapist to join their ranks ASAP. The school is recognised for its forward-thinking, inclusive, and diverse ethos.

Within this role, you will be there to provide dedicated support to the SEN / SEMH pupils within the school (ASD, ADHD, SP&L, Anxiety, Trauma etc). You will lead 1:1 and group classroom sessions with the pupils that have been devised and constructed with the aid of the class teacher and SENCO to target areas of academic weakness within the classroom to help them progress and develop.

About the role and school;

  • Aspiring Educational Therapist
  • Working closely alongside students across KS3, KS4 & KS5
  • Holding 1:1 and group interventions to help improve students' academic and social growth
  • Providing dedicated support to SEN / SEMH pupils both inside and outside the classroom (ADHD, ASD, SP&L, Anxiety, Trauma etc)
  • Working closely alongside the classroom teacher and SENCO to monitor pupils and devise action plans to aid in their social and academic growth
  • £105 - £110 per day - Term time only
  • ASAP Start
  • Full-time - Full academic year
  • Based within the borough of Havering
  • Modern school with new facilities
  • Supportive and welcoming school (Staff, SLT etc)
  • Fantastic onsite Therapists, Psychologist and SENCO to work alongside
  • Cycle-to-work scheme and onsite parking

Ideal Applicant;

  • Aspiring Educational Therapist!
  • Hold a 1st class or 2:1 in a relevant degree from a reputable university
  • Have a driven passion for working with young people and seeing them succeed
  • Previous experience working alongside SEN/SEMH needs is desirable (ADHD, ASD, SP&L, Anxiety, Trauma etc)
  • Be a hard-working and driven individual who can work collaboratively within a wider team
