SEN Teaching Assistant

ASAP Start - Experience required - £83-£90 per day - ASD Support

A mainstream primary school based in Henley-on-Thames are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join them ASAP. They have a child with an EHCP diagnosed with ASD who requires additional support. This is a long-term opportunity to start ASAP. Previous experience working with Autism is ideal for this position, particularly with ABA therapy.

Previous experience supporting SEN is ideal for this position - this can be anything from learning difficulties, behaviour management, SEMH, ADHD, ASD, hearing and vision impairments or global delay. The child is verbal and has moderate ASD. They display some challenging behaviour.

The school are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who can be adaptable and will be committed to the role. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with this child at least for the rest of this academic year.

Key skills and experience needed:

  • SEN experience is essential
  • Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
  • Strong behaviour management
  • One to one and small group work
  • Professional manner
  • Enthusiasm and friendly approach
