The Role:

Remedy are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced ASD Teacher to join our passionate team. As an ASD Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and support to students with autism, ensuring they receive personalised learning experiences that cater to their unique needs. Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals, you will create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated lessons and interventions tailored to meet the individual learning needs of students with autism.
• Utilise evidence-based teaching strategies and approaches, including visual supports, structured routines, and sensory accommodations, to support students' communication, social interaction, and sensory regulation.
• Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other relevant stakeholders to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) for students with autism.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and external agencies, promoting partnership working and effective communication to support students' holistic development.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, achievements, and interventions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and school policies.
• Contribute to the wider school community through participation in meetings, professional development activities, and school events.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Significant experience working with students with autism within a school setting, preferably in a mainstream or special educational needs (SEN) environment.
• Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder, including its characteristics, strengths, and challenges, and familiarity with evidence-based strategies and interventions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting the holistic development of students with autism.
